The Smartkey is a remote starter designed specifically for late model Mercedes Benz vehicles with DAS smart keys pictured below. Once the system is installed, you can operate the remote starter using the Smartkey for your vehicle, which doesn’t require any additional remotes. Before now, the security of the Mercedes drive authorization system (DAS) has made it very difficult to install a conventional remote starter and Mercedes doesn't offer a factory remote starter. It is now possible to install a remote starter in many late model Mercedes-Benz vehicles without cutting or splicing into the vehicles wiring.
