Definitely check out Foreign Motor Works in Quincy. I just went there today and I'm so glad I found their shop. I had been driving all the way up to the North Shore in traffic for the past 3 years with my Mercedes. Stanley worked at a couple of the MB dealerships over the past several years as well as an indie shop. He opened up Foreign Motor Works in January of 2009. I found him by doing a google search after not finding a mechanic listed for the Quincy/Boston area on the boards. He and his wife could not be nicer! And he does all the important things you'd expect the dealer to do just not charge you the same! He fixed my thermostat on my e320 for $105 (including MB coolant). But before doing the job he inspected underneath the car and knew everything about it. You can tell he's passionate about what he's doing and I can relate to that being a business owner myself (photographer). When I told him I'd be looking for a C320 wagon, he told me a few things to look for and offered to inspect any cars I might be interested in buying. Anyway, pay Stan a visit - you'll be very happy you did!

I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you. You may or may not remember me; I had a 2002 ML320 that you worked on in various capacities over the last few years. I was chatting with a friend regarding how hard it is to find a great mechanic that you can trust. One day while having a service, we were chatting about a recent item I had repaired at the dealer as I had thought it would have been covered under the Starmark extended but it was not. You took the time to do some research regarding the make and part, and then spoke with the dealership about the extended warranty coverage. They reversed the charge! Saved me 518.00, I almost fell off my chair when I got the phone call.
Last month I traded in my 02 as it was 8 years old and got a 2009 ML550. Personally, I feel bad as major work is covered by the dealer for the next few years, but I will be back for the A/B/C services. Your honesty and knowledge have made me a loyal client for years to come. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you soon.
